Engine Performance, Towing and Payload

The 2022 Ram 1500 offers a standard 3.6-liter V6 with 395 horsepower while you can also opt for the 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 which has 410 horsepower. You can also find a diesel-powered engine with a 260-horsepower engine. With standard V6 trucks you get about 7,730 pounds of towing while HEMI® trucks with eTorque offer a little over 12,000 pounds. As far as payload goas, there's a range of 1,200 to 2,000 pounds. All towing and hauling numbers depend on the engine, box size and trim.

Technology and Safety

You're also going to find plenty of onboard technology. That includes a touch display standard in 8.4- or 12-inches with Uconnect® 5, and ways to plug in and connect devices on the go. Also, there's a wealth of safety features which includes available Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Pedestrian Emergency Braking, LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind-Spot Monitoring.
